Hi, my name is Garrett Vansant, and I'm a photographer and artist from Milton, DE. I am currently working on my BA in art at the University of Delaware. Much of my work centers on the intricacies of wildlife and nature as a whole. My inspiration stems from the flitting hummingbirds or the calls of beautiful songbirds in my backyard. When you take a second to zoom in on your surroundings, there are magnitudes of beauty that most of us miss. I hope that my work can bring to light and provide a little piece of that wonder for you.

Within my courses this year, I hope to improve as an artist and person as a whole. Specifically, I want to learn how to dive deeper into my subject matter and means of storytelling. I want to explore who I am as an artist and what I'm capable of. Lastly, I want to master my use of a camera and hone in on new functions and controls.
